Therapy for anxiety, relationships, intimacy, identity, and growth — for adults and couples in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
I’m Kim Wright, LCSW, and I bring nearly two decades of clinical experience supporting adults and couples through anxiety, depression, relationship strain, intimacy concerns, identity exploration, and life transitions. I believe therapy should be both supportive and useful — a space where people feel safe enough to be honest, understood enough to feel less alone, and empowered to create meaningful change.
I am not a one-size-fits-all therapist. I tailor my approach to the individual or couple in front of me, drawing from evidence-based strategies while staying grounded in the realities of everyday life. Many of the people I work with are looking for more than a place to vent — they want insight, practical tools, stronger self-awareness, and a way to move forward that feels real and sustainable.
I care deeply about creating a space that feels respectful, engaged, affirming, and genuine. Many clients come to therapy after feeling misunderstood, judged, or like they had to hold parts of themselves back in other spaces. My goal is to offer something different: thoughtful support that makes room for complexity, identity, relationship diversity, and personal growth.
My professional work has been shaped not only by years of clinical experience, but also by life experience. I know that life does not always unfold the way we expect, and I believe meaningful therapy makes room for complexity, honesty, and the parts of people that do not always fit neatly into expectations. That understanding informs the way I show up in the therapy room: with compassion, openness, and respect for each person’s unique path.
I provide affirming care for LGBTQ+ clients and non-judgmental support for people whose identities, relationships, or life paths may not fit neatly into traditional boxes. Therapy should be a place where you do not have to edit yourself to feel safe.
Giving back matters to me. Part of that commitment includes offering pro bono work for uniformed service members and first responders in recognition of the unique stressors and mental health challenges they often carry.
If you are looking for a therapist who is warm, direct, affirming, and grounded in both compassion and practicality, I’d be glad to connect. Therapy is not about having everything figured out. It is about creating more clarity, connection, and support in the life you are trying to build.
